Diolaze utilizes diode laser technology to target and remove unwanted hair. It is a non-invasive and FDA approved method for long-term hair reduction. Pre-Procedure
- Stop waxing, tweezing, or chemical epilation in the treatment area 6 weeks prior to appointment.
- Avoid chemical peels and laser treatments in the area being treated 2 weeks prior to appt
- Avoid UV exposure 7 days prior to treatment
- Avoid sunless tanning products 7 days prior
- Avoid AHAs/BHAs, retinols, hydroquinone, differin and tazorac in laser hair removal treatment areas 7 days prior to appt
- Cold sores? If you are prone to cold sores, pls notify the practitioner, as an antiviral is recommended pre-treatment
- Fully shave the treatment area the day before or the day of your appt
What does it feel like?
Patients report a mild snap-like sensation. Most patients report to tolerate the treatment well with minimal to moderate discomfort. There is no need for anesthetic. The innovation of the sapphire cooling tip makes it a lot more comfortable than other laser treatments.
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime. A little bit of redness and swelling is possible immediately post-treatment that will subside in a few hours. Treated areas should also stay out of the sunlight and be protected with sunscreen for a couple of weeks before and after treatment.

- Avoid extended UV Exposure for 7 days post treatment
- Avoid steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas or any other heated treatments 14 days post treatment
- Avoid chemical peels and laser treatments for 14 days or until healing occurs
- You may use Tylenol and apply aloe vera or ice packs for any discomfort
- Use broad spectrum SPF 30 or greater on treatment area
*Multiple treatment sessions are required to achieve optimal results as hair grows in different cycles and the laser is most effective during the active growth phase.
